Show the children a picture of "The Rising Sun" by Atelier which can be found on the internet. Show other pictures of the sun. Have them paint a sun using orange and yellow paints.

Pete the Cat Interactive Activity

After reading PET THE CAT I LOVE MY WHITE SHOES by Eric Litwin, you can make copies of the cat on the cover for each child. Put small magnets on each foot. Cut out shoes for the cats feet and adhere sticky-backed magnets to the backs of each one. The children can then re-tell the story.
